Adolescent Program
At EADP, we understand the unique challenges facing adolescents and the families of adolescents who are struggling with alcohol or drug issues.  Providing treatment to address family dynamics, social pressure, and the needs presented by co-occuring psychiatric issues are the goals we are committed to meeting with our adolescent program.  Our program focuses on providing a safe, structured environment for adolescents and their families to seek assistance with these issues.

During the primary care phase of our adolescent program, which is three months in length, clients engage in group sessions three times weekly with an emphasis on therapy and education.  A family group is offered weekly for family members to attend and work on the issues specific to rebuilding trust and promoting healing within the family.  Family therapy sessions are offered on a biweekly basis.  Adolescent therapy groups are limited to eight participants.

Family invovlement is expected.  Monthly lectures for parents address the nature of adolescent chemical use and dependency, parenting, and ways in which to maintain open communciation and focus on abstinence within the family.

An aftercare program, which runs from three to six months in length, allows for a gradual transition from treatment for our clients if it is needed.  A weekly group session for adolescent clients, biweekly family support group, and biweekly family sessions allow for clients to continue moving forward in a structured, supportive environment.

An alumni program allows for continued involvement with peers who have graduated and provides a monthly adolescent group and monthly family group for graduates to attend to stay connected with sober support.
